The Brief

To create an art directed image based on a famous personality for the cover of a relevant magazine. This second year University brief was an introduction to ‘Art Direction’ and as such was designed to get us away from Google Image and the idea of the ‘found’ stock image.

It was about us, as designers, starting to create our own image(s), taking control, working effectively with a photographer and communicating our ideas to other people.



The Solution

The personality randomly given to us was Bob Geldof. After plenty of research it was a straight forward decision to align the art directed image with his well known Band Aid charity project.
